💚 We found Coralina abandoned at the edge of the village. She “lived" in a cardboard box and had a black blouse that she kept taking out of the box, changing it like a toy and sitting on it from time to time. For about 2-3 days we went to leave her food and water. We even left her a couple of chew toys. We always found her in the same place. Next to that box of hers. She was happy to see us. But she did not come to meet us, nor did she follow us when we were leaving. It was as if she was nailed to that box.
🧡 Probably on the 3rd day we picked her up and brought her home. We thought we would find her a family quickly because she was a puppy. But we didn't take into account that she was a large puppy. She was only 4 months old and was the size of Alba, who weighs about 15 kg. We were told that she is a Bucovina shepherd crossbreed, that she is an aggressive dog, that she cannot stand small animals, etc. We didn't even know how to find a family for her. The hope was that we would find a family on the groups of Ciobănesc de Bucovina lovers, but the posts there scared us even more.
💚 So she stayed with us. Coralina showed us how energetic a puppy can be, how much she needs to run, jump, play and use up her energy. We felt even more how tragic the life of dogs in shelters is. Life deprived of freedom of movement. Life that affects them emotionally forever.
🧡 Coralina is now one year and one month old. She is a gentle, loyal dog who defends his yard from passers-by, bicycles, carts, dogs and cats on the street. She’s a really big dog. But she gets along with all the other members of the family and she respects them. She's a badass and makes a lot of silly things. We will talk about them in another post.
