We met the Little Prince and Zorro this summer. They had been abandoned by a park and remained there. We fed them, gave them water, dewormed and neutered them with the financial help of the people who answered our call.

But the street or the park are not suitable places for stray dogs. There will always be people uncomfortable with their presence. This is how the Little Prince ended up in a public shelter, and Zorro managed to escape for the moment.

We visited the Little Prince in the shelter. He was glad to see us, wagged his tail, climbed on the bars, kissed our hands, then said what he’s gone through and cried. In addition to the drama of parting with his brother, the Little Prince suddenly found himself locked in an unknown place. His sadness, horror and despair can be read in his eyes and in every gesture. He has a shelter, he has water and food, he is not threatened with euthanasia, but he needs to be free and loved by someone. No dog should ever go through such an experience. That would be possible if people sterilized their animals.

The other dog who remained in the park for now, Zorro, cries and looks for his brother. He is sad, scared and desperately looking for relief.

The Little Prince and Zorro ran all summer in the fields near the park. At first they were shy, but soon they gained confidence and let us get closer to them.
The Little Prince and Zorro are about 1-2 years old and are of medium size (15-18 kg). They are gentle dogs, loving and grateful for the attention they’ve received from us. For all the adventure they have had so far in life, they deserve and must have a quiet life as happy dogs.
